Sign up today for the online version of my Writing for Comics and Graphic Novels Course! For years, I have taught students the basic and advanced techniques for writing in the medium of comics and graphic novels at the Free Lunch Studios in Granby, CT.
Beginning Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 7:00 PM and running every Wednesday for four weeks, students will first be introduced to the theories behind telling stories with pictures and the various forms the medium has taken over the decades. With a combination of writing exercises and lectures, participants will not only listen, but also dive right into practicing this unique craft.
Have you always dreamed of writing your own superhero comics, or funny cartoons, or manga? The skills taught in this course can be applied to all forms of comics or graphic novel storytelling and the class will cover the various segments of the diverse industry.
Classes will meet online using education software (free to use for class participants), where students can interact with the instructor and others in the class. They will have the ability to view the course materials live on their computer screen.
In addition to the eight hours of online classroom conference time, each student will receive personal feedback on their writing exercises and full review of the scripts they will produce in the course.
